The Board Committee is made up of caring, concerned adults from the community. Our board provides direction, oversight, and vision for the Executive Director. The team meets monthly for prayer, ministry updates, and strategic planning.

Kathie Steele
I moved to Alaska in 1984 and married soon thereafter. Calvin and I raised two great kids, Amy and Luke who are both in their twenties. We are proud grandparents of 9-month-old Mackenzie. I am enjoying my 14th year of teaching English at Chugiak High School. My journey with YFC began when I transferred to Chugiak High School in 1998, where I sponsored the Alpha-Omega Club. Because of enthusiastic students, the club thrived and our relationship with YFC grew. I see everyday how YFC impacts kids’ lives and know that my investment of time and money is well-worth it.
Nora Peterson
Glenn and Nora Peterson have been married for 34 years. She is the mother of 3 adult children and the grandmother of one beautiful granddaughter (so far). Nora is a registered nurse and has been working for local ophthalmologist, Oliver Korshin, MD, for 20+ years.She is thankful for youth ministries since she accepted the saving grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in a high school youth group at Central Christian Church in southern California when she was a high school sophomore. Nora has continued her journey as a disciple of Christ ever since.Paula Smith
